Winter doesn't mean that you have to have icky skin. With a few simple products, you can pump up the hydration, protect and shield your skin and prep it for when spring comes knocking.
In winter, your skin is more likely to become damaged whether due to the much colder weather, sun damage, wind damage, dry air, exposure, heaters... In winter, the air holds less moisture, less moisture in the air means less moisture on your skin and that's when you lose all your good skin juice.
Exfoliation
Exfoliation is an essential part of any skincare routine whether during winter or summer.
Skin can become dry and rough in winter which is why, provided your skin isn't open or sore, exfoliation can not only remove dead skin cells but it also primes skin for following products. Exfoliating also helps with shaving, razor burn and ingrown hairs. It smooths skin and unclogs your pores and, most importantly, improves moisture retention in your skin.
Cream vs Lotion vs Body Butter
A lot of people don't like the sticky feeling that some creams, lotions and body butters leave on their skin. Some creams absorb almost completely which is why we love our Multipurpose Creams.
This is honestly one of my favourite faves! Easily absorbed, subtly fragranced and with added Vitamin A, E and D, it pumps the nourishment without leaving your skin sticky.
And just as delicious is our oh so yummy, Green Tea Body Cream.
If you're looking for a lotion that will do the damn thing all day long, then you cannot go wrong with the Pure Indulgence Fragranced Body Lotion. There's a reason this has been one of our best sellers for the longest time. If you're looking for something to scent your skin while absorbing quickly, this is the one!
And then, if you are looking for superior barrier protection, nourishment and hydration, you should think about using a Body Butter. Thick and luxurious, our Body Butters are exquisitely fragranced and melt into skin the longer your massage it in. Body Butter will provide barrier protection while scenting skin.
Don't forget your serums!
It is easy to forget that we need to be just as vigilant with our skincare routine in winter as we are in summer. Using serums is especially important and you can up your routine even more by adding an additional moisturiser to your routine.
My best in the Feel (Good) Skin Range is our Incredible Collagen Cream.
Oh, and one last thing...
SPF! SPF! SPF! Winter isn't holding back. You can get just as sunburned in winter as you do in summer so protect your skin from any additional damage but using that sunscreen. I know, I know, there is nothing better than toasty winter sun. Do it but protect yourself.
Go on...
